Introduction

The Beginning

Welcome to our travel blog. With zero talent and two readers (thanks Mum and Dad), you’ve come to the right place if you love travelling, honesty and giving something a try.

Here is a brief summary of the two of us and how we of all people decided to start a travel blog.

2017

• Luke and Claire (Us!) got Married in McLaren Vale, Adelaide, Australia 14th January

• In February we moved across the country, 2510km, to Mackay, Queensland where we enjoyed the shock of; boiling hot weather, cyclone Debbie, cane toads eww, geckos aww and sweating bullets

• Claire worked her first year as a Physiotherapist

• Luke worked his second year as a Nurse in Theatres

• Throughout the year we had many adventures to waterfalls, The Great Barrier Reef, drunken nights with new life long friends, anxious nights stressing about new jobs, and of course married bliss..

2018

• February: Decided that we weren’t ready for grown up life, quit our jobs, packed up our belongings (yet again) and shipped them to Crescent Head NSW (1,471.4km) which are now in the protective custody of Sue and Tim (Luke’s parents)

• March: Bummed around Crescent Head surfing, swimming, camping, eating and enjoying family time

• April: Boarded a one way ticket to Bali and here we are

It ceases to amaze us that we can describe the last year and a half of our lives so briefly. This is the main reason we want to write this blog, to take time and reflect on good and inevitably bad times. Which we can share with friends and loved ones. 

I am finding that as we get older and our lives lead us to new and exciting places we are unable to share every important and unimportant detail of our life with everyone we want. And when we finally get to catch up with them I find that I have so little to say about our lives. 

Well times are changing, enjoy our weekly (we’ll see) waffling on about our lives, travelling mis-haps and photography.
